Who said Art had to be passive, art has been and can be the inspiration for changing your mind to changing the world. Some great artists including Favianna Rodriguez from the previous Steamrolling Art post and Métis relief printmaker Dylan Miner and a host of others all part of the Justseeds/Visual Resistance Artists’ Cooperative who are banding together to create exciting work as well as hope and inspiration. Another source of art and politics ArtThreat is a great blog and even features Redwire Magazine in a new post. Or if you need some quick graphics and aren’t especially artistic check out Radical Graphics collection of lefty images. In the words of Métis rebel leader Louis Riel, ” Our people will sleep for a hundred years and when they awaken it will be the artists who give them back their spirit.”  More art agitation can be found at the upcoming exhibition:
